Why I haven't posted recently

So as I haven’t posted in ages, I can to the conclusion that whilst I’m on holiday this week, that this was the perfect opportunity to update my blog and also the visitors as to what I have been up to since my last post.

So this year has been tough for me but now that I’m in a much better place not just physically but also mentally as well. I had gotten into debt via my local council from my council tax payments not coming out of my account, it went on for months and before I realised it there where Enforcement Agents involved. And I can tell you now, they will not give up until they have what they want. The debt was close to £1000, and I felt that there was no way I was ever going to be able to pay this off.

Luckily I was able to up my hours in work for a few months whilst also doing overtime in other stores, just so that I could make a general payment. As soon as I had made that first payment, it felt like this was a massive weight off my shoulders, even though I still had a lot to pay off, seeing the amount due decrease was heaven. Then after speaking to the Agent assigned to my case, we agreed on a payment plan to pay the final amount which only took me a further 2 months to pay.
Now I am very pleased to say that, as of the end of June 2019 I am debt free and I do not have to worry about them coming back around to my property.

This whole situation this year has caused a huge amount of stress and anxiety, which I am pretty sure has been the cause of all the chest pains I had (which even put me in hospital) and all the constant headaches. It has also taught me that if you work hard even though you will feel crap, suffer with anxiety over Enforcement Agents and even suffer with depression as a result of this, is that eventually you will come out the other side. I will hold my hands up and admit that I ignored a few phone calls and house visits from them; by doing this it just made things a lot worse for my own health and well being. But you must keep in contact with them and set up a payment plan. This I am speaking from experience.
If anyone who would like to know more, please feel free to message me☺️.

So after months of feeling rubbish and neglecting myself a lot, I decided that whilst I can afford it that I will go and hair my hair cut due to not having it done since April 2018. Now it feels amazing and I am thinking that whilst I am off this week, a massive pampering session is in order, where for once I finally do something for me!

So for now that this it and will update again very soon!

So where do I begin, well I hope you all had a good Christmas and New Year. I had a quiet and relaxing Christmas spent with some family, only had Christmas day off as I was worked Christmas Eve and Boxing Day. My new year on the other hand was very different indeed, I came down ill on new year’s eve with what I thought was just a headache but ended up being very sick to the point I was sent home from work the next day, which never happens (has only happened a few times, 5 years ago and that only happened twice). It’s not very often that I phone in sick either, as I like to think I can work with any illness unless I have been told to otherwise.

So this year I turned 27 on the 3rd January, scary to think that I am now closer to 30 rather than 20 now but never mind. This year is all focused on continuing my writing and potentially starting piecing together ideas for a book I want to write.

Today (4th Jan) I told a colleague in work what I am trying to do, what my aim is and where I would like to see this going as I don’t really want to be stuck in a job that I really don’t want to be doing anymore, but will stick it out until I can get to where I want to be. We were discussing blogs and it got mentioned that my colleague wanted to start some sort of blog, as they will be leaving us this year and going travelling. I mentioned maybe they should start a vlog (video log) whilst they are exploring different countries or maybe combine a blog and vlog together. As I have worked with this colleague for 7years this year, it would be nice to see what they get up to on their travels.

Well that’s all she wrote for now, hope everyone has a great year!
